Thanks V! That was one of the first places I looked (we think alike!). Ron's info (entry below) is very interesting, and fits in location wise - but he says the first entry in the lightkeeper book is made in 1915. The tombstone in question has the deceased dying in 1915 after being "lighthouse keeper at Gros Cap many years." But that area was occupied long before the mining company, it was the main travel way to Hudson Bay back to the first fur traders. So there could have been a 'lighthouse' prior to 1915. I'm still looking! Any info always appreciated!
