There wer 20 USLHS/USCG lightship stations. They are: Grosse Point; Lake St. Clair; Simmons Reef; Lansing Shoal; Grays Reef; Bar Point Shoal; Poe Reef; Eleven Foot Shoal; Lake Huron; Ballard Reef; Limekiln Crossing North; Limekiln Crossing South; Peshtigo Reef; Buffalo; Milwaukee; & North Manitou Shoal. The Limekiln Crossing lightships were built and mmanned by the USKHS, the ship were anchored on the Canadian side. LAter the Limekiln Crossing lightships were sold by the US to Canada, and served on the same station. The Lake Carriers Association owned and operated the lightship KEWAUNEE, which served on Lake Erie.
