Now that I have scoured the web I have seen a few other pictures and it kind of looks like it is more where the concrete layer is chipping away and the original brick/block is showing the difference in the surface looks like a crack? Unless the tower is really cracked that bad. Too bad we never got in close enough to see it. I guess that is why they built the White Shole and Grays Reef lights. What are the other "Birdcage" lights. Brian
