Point Pleasant lighthouse, built on Indian point (Point Pleasant), the most easterly part of Prince Edward county where the Bay of Quinte and Lake Ontario are connected by the "Upper Gap" a passage between Point Pleasant and Amherst Island. 1st built in 1867 and torn down and burned in July of 1956. source: pg.64 of Great Lakes Lighthouse Encylopedia. by Larry and Patricia Wright.
