Manitowaning
Light
By Dave Wobser
A typical tapered, white wood structure
located on a bluff overlooking Manitowaning Bay on the north side of Manitoulin Island.
The 35-foot tall structure is topped by an
octagonal red lanter, and is an active aid to navigation.
A modern beacon flashes a blue light from the
lantern.
From Highway 6, take Arthur Road and head
toward the bay. The light is at the end of the road and marks the entrance to the bay. |
